LOTA'S TREES PHOTO'S OF PLANTING
Overhead hand drawn map of the TES Memorial Garden,
Carol's tree is a Magnolia, it was her 50th Birthday present,
each elephant walking behind her is represented by 5 River Birch trees, the first is the ele's trunk, then followed by 4 trees representing her legs. First is Carol's Maggie, followed by Barbara's, Tina's, and Lota's trees

Our Scottie holding the 'TREES FOR LOTA - A LIVING MEMORIAL' ALBUM
Garden Center guys behind him planting Lota's Trees, to the left of Scott is Carol's Maggie, the rest of the ele trees are following her

My red car is parked on the gravel road close to the first tree, Carol's Maggie . This is the same garden center that planted the other trees.

They did a wonderful job and I could tell that they felt special that they were helping the Elephant Sanctuary

Lota's trees, first her trunk, standing straight up,
then her legs are tied down, at an angle, on purpose,
to appear to be the walking legs of the elephant,
the ropes will stay on for a couple of years, being occasionally adjusted,
until they stay in this form or angle, they should really look good as they grow,
as if the bundle of 5 trees are a walking elephant, in this case, Lota!

FRONTAL View, the first tree is her trunk

The camera was pulled back to include Tina's trees that Lota's trees are following, the ground is getting covered by native growth, Scott intends to plant grass seed in the area

Now the camera is pulled back more to see the placement better, Lota is walking behind Tina, then Tina is walking behind Barbara, Barbara is then walking behind Carol's Magnolia tree

This view is coming from the rear of Lota's trees, we are closest to her back legs

Still from the back side, the red car is off camera to the left, hard to tell, but this is how they look, ropes are still on the other trees

THE END!
What a wonderful way to memorialize the girls!
Can't wait to see how they look in a couple of years, as they get bigger, they should be able to be seen from the road!
